Data Center 1 - Liquid Web : Location - Lansing/MI, USA

Liquid Web owns and operates three private data centers in Michigan State of USA. The Data centers network has been designed to accommodate clients demanding the highest quality network performance. There is a central focus on redundancy allowing our network to rapidly self-heal failures without interruptions to connectivity. Providing the highest quality Internet connectivity and performance is on top priority. We have selected premium Tier-1 bandwidth providers, ensuring minimal latency and fast connections to all points of the global internet. We are proud to feature direct connectivity with Cogent, Level3, Global Crossing, Verizon, & Comcast. Our aggregate connectivity reaches an astounding 8,500+ networks just a single network away from our up-links.

Security and Systems

Datacenter access is strictly limited to technical staff. Electronic security systems control data center access and are accompanied by a full compliment of motion detecting security cameras which monitor the entire facility. Our DataCenter facility external walls are reinforced poured concrete. Our power systems feature extensive fault tolerance and resilience at every layer. Incoming service is routed underground to a dedicated on-site transformer. This system routes to our automatic transfer switch which monitors power quality, and automatically transfers to our emergency generators in the event they are needed. Each facility is also protected by one or more uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), featuring redundant battery cabinets and full maintenance bypass cabinets allowing for service and upgrades without interruption of power to our servers.

Environmental processing systems include redundant Liebert Precision 22 ton up flow air conditioning units. Temperature and humidity are precisely regulated year round to ensure optimal equipment reliability. Each unit contains independent compressors and cooling loops to further enhance fault tolerance and reliability. Air filtration systems actively remove foreign particulates from circulation and cycle the entire data center air supply in a matter of minutes.

Data Center 2 - Fortress ITX : Location - Clifton/NJ, USA

Our Data Center resides in Clifton, NJ, just 14 miles from New York City. This new facility boasts enormous growth potential allowing capabilities of up to 55,000 sq ft of pure datacenter floor space, and ease of access to backbone providers. Currently, the facility incorporates over 7,500 sq ft of completed raised floor data center space, along with 4,500 sq ft of corporate office space which includes a front reception area, conference rooms, and ample space for our employees. The new datacenter has been carefully planned from inception to overcompensate for such factors as cooling, generators, UPS's, backup generators, fire suppression, and much, much more. This new facility has been set in place with 7,500 sq ft of raised flooring, 4 (ten) 20 ton AC units and double pre-action fire suppression system.

Connectivity

Our upstream providers currently uses MCI and Above.net as its backbone providers, and is adding Level3 and Global Crossing in the near future. DC offers fast, reliable connectivity to the internet via an MCI OC48 Full Sonnet Ring with the additon of dual OC192's in the upcoming future.

Data Center 3 - The Planet : Location - Dallas/TX, USA

Our data centers have multiple network connections to different Internet backbones, allowing data to be distributed through many sources - meaning that data centers network is not dependent upon any single Internet backbone.

Facilities

• Over 35,000 sq ft of raised floor and 15,000 sq ft of static free tile.

• HVAC systems are a combination of glycol, chilled water, and condenser units by Liebert and Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with 6 managed backbone providers.
• Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect.
• Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) along with over 600 smoke detectors.
• Key card access with CCTV for maximum security.
• The goal is to provide maximum redundancy in every facet of the datacenter environment to facilitate 100% uptime for your entire hosting infrastructure.
• Our internal monitoring system is an open source code highly modified by our technicians to satisfy our customer needs.

Network Infrastructure

Data centers internal network architecture utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from Juniper and Cisco. Data center utilize Juniper M20 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in distribution layer, Cisco 6500 and 5500 switches in aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the customer layer. Our network is fully meshed and redundant with 6 backbone providers. Our current network consists of, UUNet (GigE), Level 3 (GigE), Time Warner (GigE), Global Crossing (GigE), Verio (GigE), and ATT (DS3).
